The village of Bežovce is described as a village located in the territory of the former Užská County. It was first mentioned in archival documents in 1214 under the name BLEZANALAZA, and in 1286 under the name BEZEU. In that year, King Ladislaus IV granted the village to Jakub, son of Gregor de Pank, a donation he confirmed again in 1287, followed by King Andrew III in 1292. Until 1276, Bežovce was part of the property belonging to the royal castle estate of Uh, owned by the king.More
